Murchison, Taylor & Gibson, PLLC was founded in 1955. The firm now has 13 attorneys, many with large law firm backgrounds, who practice in a variety of substantive areas. One of the firm’s principal founders, Wallace Murchison, was a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill Law School and Harvard Law School and practiced with the firm for almost 40 years until his retirement in 1994. Another early partner, James C. Fox, left in 1982 to serve as a U.S. District Court Judge after being a partner with the firm for more than 20 years.
