Murchison, Taylor & Gibson, PLLC is pleased to announce two members of the firm have been named to Business North Carolina’s 2013 Legal Elite, a list comprised of approximately 3.5% of the practicing attorneys in North Carolina.  Fred B. Davenport, Jr. was selected to the list in the category of Business Law.  Andrew K. McVey made the list in the Litigation category.

A past president of Pharmaceutical Product Development, Inc., Davenport makes his third appearance on the list.  Davenport received his BA, JD, and MBA degrees from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.  Davenport practices primarily in the areas of business law and taxation, mergers and acquisitions, and estate planning and administration.  To learn more about Davenport and his practice, click here.

McVey, who is joining the Legal Elite list for the first time, is a graduate of Wake Forest University and the Wake Forest University School of Law.  McVey’s primary areas of practice are litigation, employment law, and homeowners’ association law.  To learn more about McVey and his practice, please click here.

Business North Carolina’s 2013 Legal Elite list is determined by a balloting process in which attorneys are asked to identify colleagues who do exemplary work in fourteen practice areas by responding to the question, “Of the Tar Heel lawyers whose work you have observed firsthand, whom would you rate among the current best in these categories?”  Voters could not pick themselves, and could only select members of their firms if they also picked out-of-firm lawyers in the same categories. More information on the list and the selection process can be found online at www.BusinessNC.com/LegalElite.

MTG congratulates Mr. Davenport and Mr. McVey, and knows they were honored to be recognized as part of Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite listing.
