Murchison, Taylor & Gibson, PLLC is pleased to welcome Amanda K. Hannon to the firm.  Ms. Hannon joined the firm in the fall of 2012, and will practice in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and wills, trusts, and estate planning.

Ms. Hannon obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.  She received her Juris Doctor from Campbell Law School, graduating cum laude.

While in law school, Ms. Hannon participated in numerous extracurricular activities and competitions.  She was the Secretary of the R.C. Bryan Senate of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, and served as a research assistant to one of the co-authors of the treatise, Wiggins’ Wills and Administration of Estates in North Carolina.  In addition, Ms. Hannon competed in the American Bar Association’s Client Counseling Competition.  She and her partner were national semifinalists after winning their intramural and regional competitions.  Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Order of Old Kivett, which recognizes maintaining high ethical standards while representing Campbell in advocacy competitions.

Ms. Hannon completed three externships for course credit during her studies at Campbell.  She interned for Justice Paul M. Newby of the North Carolina Supreme Court as well as for Judge Stephani W. Humrickhouse of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.  Additionally, she completed a pro-bono externship with Everett Gaskins Hancock LLP.
