Received his B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1967 and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1975 after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps (1968-73). A past president of the Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce (1994-95), and the Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Educational Foundation, he is a member of the New Hanover County, North Carolina, and American Bar Associations, as well as the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference. His practice areas include commercial transactions, business and corporate law, estate planning and administration and aviation law.
