Received her B.A. in 2000 from Duke University. She received her J.D. in 2003 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a member of Phi Delta Phi. She is a member of the New Hanover County, North Carolina, and American Bar Associations, Member:  Real Property, Zoning, Planning and Land Use Sections and American Bar Associations, Member: Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section
