Received his B.A. summa cum laude in 1990 from Wake Forest University, where he was a Carswell Scholar, President of Pi Sigma Alpha and a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Kappa Delta. Mr. McVey also received his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1993. He is a Certified Superior Court Mediator and a member of the New Hanover County and North Carolina (Member, Employment, Litigation and Dispute Resolution Sections) Bar Associations. In addition, he serves on the National High School Mock Trial Championship. Mr. McVey represents management in various types of employment litigation (Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA, harassment, covenants not to compete, employee loyalty claims, unfair and deceptive trade practices) before the North Carolina state courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
